He does so as a hidden final boss in a “Nightmare Match” special and as an unlockable playable character in the home versions. This is because his completion of the original Real Bout takes place after he has won the tournament. To bring the total number of playable characters to 23, additional iterations of Andy Bogard, Billy Kane, Blue Mary, and Tung Fu Rue are hidden at various points throughout the game.
